NeuroSYNC joins UK neuromorphic computing initiatives for Innovate UK Business Connect webinar
NeuroSYNC will join NeuroWare and NeuMat for an upcoming Innovate UK Business Connect webinar exploring the opportunities emerging from neuromorphic and energy-efficient computing in the UK.
The webinar will bring together the three UKRI-funded neuromorphic computing initiatives to introduce businesses, researchers and the wider innovation community to the UK's growing neuromorphic computing ecosystem.
Representing the UK Multidisciplinary Centre for Neuromorphic Systems and Computing, NeuroSYNC will introduce the Centre's work and its role in advancing sustainable neuromorphic computing technologies and AI systems. The session will also highlight opportunities to engage with the Centre and connect with the wider community.
Neuromorphic, or brain-inspired, computing offers an alternative approach to conventional computing architectures, with the potential to deliver highly energy-efficient computation. Its applications span areas including artificial intelligence, edge computing, robotics and autonomous systems, bringing together expertise across neuroscience, materials, computer science, electronics and software engineering.
During the webinar, attendees will hear from each of the three initiatives:
NeuroWare – supporting the development and translation of neuromorphic computing hardware across industry, academia and policy.
NeuMat – connecting academia and industry to advance materials for neuromorphic computing and AI hardware.
NeuroSYNC – advancing multidisciplinary research in sustainable neuromorphic systems and computing.
The programme will conclude with a panel discussion, providing an opportunity to explore the UK's future neuromorphic computing landscape and routes for collaboration.
Programme
10:00 – Introduction and setting the scene
10:10 – NeuroWare
10:30 – NeuMat
10:50 – NeuroSYNC
11:10 – Panel Discussion
11:30 – Event Close
Alongside the webinar, participants will also have access to a B2Match networking platform, providing opportunities to connect with other organisations, identify potential collaborators and explore partnerships across the emerging neuromorphic computing ecosystem.
The event is open to participants from business, industry, academia, policy, venture capital and end-use sectors, as well as anyone interested in neuromorphic computing, low-power computing, energy-efficient AI, edge computing and related technologies.
Join us to learn more about NeuroSYNC, connect with the UK's neuromorphic computing community and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
